Widget Categories Application

This application creates categories that feed into location services properties in the Directory Application and the category properties of the Timeline Application. Once set up, they will appear in selection checkboxes or menus in the applications and their related widgets.

How to access the Widget Categories Application

From the Atlas Kentico main dashboard open the Application List by clicking on the white sun icon on orange on the upper left. From here, shortcut to the Widget Categories application by typing “Widget” in the search applications field. Click on “Widget” to open application.

Adding Categories

  1. Open Widgets Application and click “New Category” button
  2. Use Widget menu to select from two available widget types: Locations or Timeline. Type in new Category name. 
  3. Click Save button to add category. Click on Widget Categories in crumb trail to return to the main Widget Categories section. 
  4. Continue to add Categories as needed. 
Location Categories
The locations categories data appears as Location Services in the Locations Map Widget. The value is to list what services are available at each location, such as Agronomy, Grain, Fertilizer, 24 hour cardtrol, etc. The Locations Map Widget will only display locations that have at least one service associated with them.

Timeline Categories
The timeline categories data appears as a list of available timelines to select in the Timeline Widget. This makes it possible to have multiple timelines on a website.  The Timeline Widget will only display timelines that have a category associated with them.
