The Blog feed widget is a container for the automatic posting of blog entries in various transformations. For the Blog feed widget to function at least one blog with one post will need to exist. The only way to share blog posts on a web page is by placing the blog feed widget somewhere on the page. Each blog post entry on the page links to the full blog post page.

To create and maintain one or several full-featured blogs for the website requires the use of the Blog Page Type and the Blog Month Page Type. A full workshop on how to set up and run a blog is available in How to Start a Blog. Some thoughtfulness is required to get a blog system set up but the maintenance is simple and only requires a content creator.

Blog Feed Widget Properties

PROPERTY	DESCRIPTION
Visible	Checking and unchecking the checkbox toggles widget visibility on the page. This allows for prepping the content in edit mode before widget debut.
Transformation	You can select how you would like the blog feeds displayed visually on the page. See examples > Blog Cards - displays each blog post as a card visual, organized horizontally in rows on the page, with the author name, thumbnail photo at the top, followed by post title, synopsis & date Blog List - displays the blog feed as a stacked list with a thumbnail photo on the left and post title, date, synopsis and tags displayed on to the right. Blog CTA - very simple and space-saving list of stacked text links of post titles clickable to the full blog post Blog Detail - stacked text list of post titles, date and time and synopsis plus clickable tags with no photo thumbnail Blog Tags - stacked list of post titles, date, synopsis and tags with no photo thumbnail
Page Path	Specify the file path to the selected blog pages
Max Items Displayed	Enter maximum number of blog post items to display
Order by	Select from: BlogPostDate descending - lists posts most recent first BlogPostDate ascending - lists oldest posts first (uncommon)
Blog List Link Text	Customize text link
Blog List URL	Select Blog List page for this blog via the content library (recommended)
Items per row (small)	Blog Cards transformation only. One recommended for mobile viewing.
Items per row (medium)	Blog Cards transformation only. Three to four recommended for tablet viewing.
Items per row (large)	Blog Cards transformation only. Five or less recommended for desktop viewing.
Content Before	Text entry area for simple title and descriptive copy right above the blog list. Requires small amount of HTML code for styling.
Content After	Text entry area for simple descriptive copy right below the blog list. Requires small amount of HTML code for styling.
