Facebook Pixels

Facebook Pixels Application

Last updated 08.01.25

The Facebook (Meta) Marketing Pixel is a piece of code for your website that lets you measure, optimize and build audiences for your ad campaigns. You can think of it as an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your content by understanding the actions people take on your website.

Facebook Pixels Application
The ATLAS interface provides an application that makes adding the pixel tag easy. The Facebook Pixels Application is located in the navigation under Retailer Portals. Adding the code here will make it inherited by all pages. If the preference is to add the Pixel to only one or specific pages, then go to that page or pages via the Pages Application and add it to the Marketing Pixels field under the SEO tab.

Setting up the Pixel in your Facebook (Meta) Dashboard
To create the pixel code you will need to go to Meta Events Manager and click on Connect data and select Web. Click Connect and then enter the name of your pixel and click Create pixel. Then copy the code snippet to add to the app or to specific pages. You can set up standard events using your pixel code to track actions people take on your website, such as signing up for your newsletter.

How it Works
Once you’ve set up the pixel tag, the pixel will activate whenever a site visitor takes an action (called an event) that you want to track (called a conversion). The pixel receives these actions, or events, which you can view on your Meta Pixel page, under Data Sources, in Events Manager. From there, you’ll be able to see a summary of your event data.
