What is ATLAS - RSS Data Source?

The ATLAS - RSS data source widget is essentially an invisible widget--configuring and adding it to a page doesn't result in anything being displayed. It's purpose is to provide a data source for the "RP - RSS Feed" widget to display a feed from another site on your site.

How do you configure ATLAS - RSS Data Source?

Configuring the Widget

Begin using the ATLAS RSS - Data Source widget by clicking the hamburger menu in the top left corner of a foundation layout and selecting the "Add new widget" option. Find "ATLAS RSS data source."

In widget properties, enter a webpart title--this will function as the title of your data source. In the RSS feed URL field, enter the URL of the feed you'd like to display. In the "Top N" field, enter a maximum number of news bulletins to display.

Displaying the Feed

After laying down the ATLAS RSS data source widget, add an "RP RSS Feed" widget so the feed will display on the page. For instructions on how to configure the "RP RSS Feed" widget, navigate to the "RP - RSS Feed" page.

How do you Use ATLAS - RSS Data Source?

Use the ATLAS - RSS Data Source widget to provide a data source for the RP - RSS Feed widget to display a feed of content from another site on your own site. This widget is good for displaying news from news organizations or social media sites, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
